What are the best foods for weight loss?

Question by Kellie: What are the best foods for weight loss?
Well I'm allergic to bananas, don't like white milk, certain fruits and many veggies I like, I love half and half on cereal, I like poultry, fish, seafood, beans, pasta. Can't seem to stay away from coffee, especially in the mornings at work, an occasional italian beef, canned soda, things like that. Am I on the right track so far? Thanks in advance.

these are in no chronological order.
1)GREEN TEA (only 1-2 calories without sugar). if you consume with every meal you have, it supresses your appetite therefore you eat less. many herbal slimming pills also contain green tea because it increase metabolism and reduces fat absorption.
2)PROTEINS (lean proteins and proteins found in pulses). pulses contain high fibre aswell as a good content of protein therefore you get full up quicker; its good for your digestive system and its yummy on salads. if you have meats; chicken breast (or thigh) is good or lean beef, or lamb so that you get your iron intake aswell. eggs are also very good (make sure you dont have high cholesterol though).
3)FRUIT basically any fruit is good, apples, oranges, berries especially tomatoes because it is mainly water.
4)VEGETABLES same with vegetables; all of them are very good especially cucumber because they is mainly water, very very low in calories and tasty too. you can try all leafy vegetables aswell.
5)YOGURTS/DAIRY yogurts help feed the friendly bacteria in your stomach therefore aids digestion. its also high in calcium of which you need about 1000mg a day (yogurt contains about 150-200mg). take some milk aswell but avoid cheeses and butters.
6)CERTAIN FATS. olive oil with vinegar is a good dressing for salad; its unsaturated fat plus fat is essential for the absorption of fat soluble vitamins ADEK. make sure you dont consume too much fat though because it is still calorie dense.
7)FISH both oily and non oily fish are very very good for you, plus they are low in unhealthy fats/may not contain much fat and is mainly protein. omega 3 & 6 are present in fish which help concentration and blood circulation therefore fish is very good.
8)NUTS AND SEEDS try not consume too many; a few a day are very good, they contain good oils and are high in fibre.
9)SOUPS soups are very good for snacking on aswell as nuts and seeds however the only difference is that soup is lower in calories and fat therefore recommended.
10) WATER you may just have enough provided via the foods i have mentioned however its essential you have enough (6-8glasses).

personally i reduced starchy carbs because starch becomes energy and if that energy is not used; it stores as glycogen. when exercising; the body first goes through the glucose, glycogen and then the fat however wholemeals are very good e.g. wholemeal bread.
also try eat only 3 meals per day without snacking because its usually the snacks that make us put on weight and again if you really want to snack, have some water, green tea, soup etc (the healthier stuff).
if you need any help of weight loss; let me know because i am more than happy to help you.

hope i helped and good luck!!!
