  1. I had been thinking about that, but they are split in half. I dont think they could grow then. I also looked into how to grow them and if I could but its too complicated for my climate here and they dont produce well if you do get them to grow.

  7. google-Life Extension Magazine September 2012. click on the cover article about coffee. what i mentioned here is on the next page. it's in the pink box. we don't have controlled conditions for soaking the beans like the article says but maybe just plain old soaking is better than nothing. i gave up coffee so i won't be so hyper and i even drink valerian tea for that too. i'm kinda high strung when i get excited about my crafts, but i may drink coffee a tad again. but without the GMO cow juice

  8. well it's good that you know they're bad for you, and i wasn't trying to tell you how to live, just voicing my concern for yer safety and health. nothing wrong with that. no different than telling someone not to jump off a building. little do most ppl know that most of the food we eat has chemicals purposely put in to make us sick and die. ppl are commiting slow suicide without even realizing it. i assumed you didn't know about aspertame and and said what i said, just worried about you. sorry

  9. Great info on coffee storage! Here is a tip for you, if you place a book at the front of your vacuum sealer it will allow you get a good seal on your smaller bag. The book lifts the bag so it is level with the unit, which allows you to use two hands to place the bag into the vacuum track. Hope it helps.

I see I am a bit behind in a few things.I don't want to look back on a cold rainy day and say, "Damn, why didn't I story these coffee beans right. Thanks for reminding of some preps.

  12. I will. The next one will be me roasting over a campfire in a cast iron pan. Then hand grinding the beans and having a cup of cowboy coffee.

  13. That is my plan. It will have value I believe. What would a person give for a nice, hot, fresh cup of coffee after wandering through the desolate land for a couple years.

  23. I must agree with both of you. Yes, the stuff is bad for you. But we all have our addictions. I cannot get away from sugar in my coffee although it reduces the immune system and rots teeth and so on.

I believe WCherokeeW only meant to help with his comments. We are all trying to help people out there.

  24. Sort of makes sense, but I have never heard of such an idea with coffee beans before. When they are roasted, they need to be used right away to get the best flavor. I would think soaking them would change them too much after roasting.

Not saying you are wrong. Just never heard of the idea.
