How do I grow coffee? Where do I start?

Question by Jacey86: How do I grow coffee? Where do I start?
Good day ladies and gentlemen, I am completely new to the coffee industry. I am not even sure how to grow coffee yet but I want to start. I want to know where is the best place to buy seeds for the coffee plant? Or maybe you know of a company that sells plants at reasonable prices.

  1. You can grow plant from Green Coffee Beans, you have to sprout them like any other plant from a seedling, but it take a few years for a plant to reach maturity and produce fruit, climate to has alot do with it, coffee plants need cool moist weather with a specific amount of sun they are very sensitive plants and react to harsh conditions like extreme cold and heat.

I had a fried who grew 2 plants, and each gave him the equivalent of 2 cups of beans, not much more than 4 pots in the making. He grew them as house plants here in Toronto ON, he also had a banana and orange trees in his apartment.
