Use a stand one cup measuring cup. There are 8 ounces in a cup.

    There isn't a method to weigh something without a scale or a balance.

    While it is true that "8 ounces is one cup" that refers to FLUID OUNCES which is a measurement of volume..it has nothing to do with weight.

    Different substances weight different amounts for the same volume. A cup of coffee beans will weight less than a cup of water.
