How can I improving a diet so I can lose more weight?

Question by vampiresa_yui: How can I improving a diet so I can lose more weight?
I started a diet on February [the 12], I weighted 204 pounds, believe or not I look like I weighted 170 pounds.. I have lose 9 pounds since then, so now I'm on 195 pounds. I do crunches and sit-ups twice a week, walk everyday, also will use soon a Elliptical Trainer [since I order one]. I want to lose 10-15 pounds more by August, by March next year I want to lose a total of 55 pounds.

My diet, given a friend, consist in the following:
- A total of 14 meals each week[7 lunches and 7 dinners]. Eat at least 10 salads and soups meals. For me I choose the veggies I like for the salad with olive oil or fat free dressing. For soup I eat chicken soup.
- Eats for snacks fruits. Apples, bananas, watermelons.
- Eat at least a day of the week your regular food, in my case that will be rice, beans, fried chicken, and other typical puertorican food.

He recommended not changing foods at the same time, will get carvings at badly; I did it.He said the diet is slow but effective. How do I improve?

Ummm... where are your breakfasts? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you dont eat breakfast you will not start your metabolism up in the morning. Eating breakfast will speed up weight loss. It should be at least 250 calories. It should be high in protein.

Speaking of protein? You are only eating soup and salad? You need protein in your diet. It helps build and support your muscular system. The fruits you are eating are not the healthiest either. Bananas can actually help you keep fat on. Watermelons have really no nutritional value. Thry eating some berries. They are high in fiber.

This diet does not sound healthy to me at all

  1. Hey your exercises are already good. I just want to comment on your diet menu, here's a complete 7 days diet menu that works for me. I exercised while diet and I didn't feel any dizzyness or anything strange.

Actually half of this is taken from the 3-day diet guides.

    Day 1

    Breakfast: Coffee/Tea, 1 egg , 1 slice of toast and 1/2 banana.

Lunch: Coffee/tea, toast with 1/2 cup of tuna.

    Day 2

    Breakfast: Coffee/Tea, 1/2 grapefruit and a toast.

Lunch: 1/2 cup of tuna, with 4 - 8 saltine crackers.
A saltine crackers is a thin cracker sprinkled lightly with coarse salt made from white flour, yeast, and baking soda.

Dinner: 2 beef franks, a cub of cabbage, 1/2 cup of carrots, 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream.
